Sponsored by AARP Innovation Labs, Mastercard, and Franklin Templeton, the virtual event taking place on November 12th targets Pre-Seed and Seed Stage companies aimed at reducing race, gender, and/or generational wealth and income gap disparities. Eligible startups must have at least one founder who is a current HBCU student or alum.
The first-place team will receive $15k in non-dilutive funds, the second-place team will receive $5k in non-dilutive funds, and the People’s Choice award will go to one pitch competition finalist who will have an opportunity to secure a fellowship with AARP Innovation Labs (up to $25k value).
